Any tips and suggestions from you guys during my journey would be greatly appreciated. I will probably be asking alot of questions if that is ok? My philosophy is the only dumb question is the one you do not ask:) Anyway nice to meet everyone.

Hi Matt, Sorry this is so late, but welcome to the forum!
Seems to me there's someone within a couple hours driving distance of you that may be able to hook up with ocasionally, depending on motivation and time. There's people around Youngstown, Columbus, Pittsburgh, and WV panhandle that I'm aware of, so if you are unable to find someone local, perhaps a monthly weekend rendevous can be set up. (I believe you should be able to get to the group in Boardman in about an hour and a half.) After establishing some relationships, maybe someone will meet you half way sometimes or come your way. The distance course is no doubt good, but it's way better to be able to move around with someone else, and get someone to correct bad habits before ingraining them. Also, having partners keeps you better grounded in reality, and on track when you aren't particularly motivated. When there's time and money invested, one tends to follow through better...or at least, I do.
Feel free to ask questions, as there's many people on here with lots of experience that can help. "Engage!"

Hello Matt. I have a school about 3 hours south of you! As soon as the weather gets better I would not mind coming up a couple of times. I have a friend who goes to the Clev Public Library. They have the biggest collection of chess books in the world and he spends hours in it.
